Country Market Stallholders and Customers – Day Trip
ABOUT 40 stallholders and customers of Garstang Country Market enjoyed a day trip to the Lake District recently.
They called in a Appleby, the Rheged Centre, sailed on the Ullswater ferry from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding before travelling via the Kirkstone Pass to Windermere and on to Preston Patrick near Kendal, for a tea prepared by the ladies of Preston Patrick Women’s Institute.
The trip was organised by Mrs Jo Higham who was thanked for her efforts by Garstang Country Market organiser Mrs Margaret Halford. The coach was provided by Pineways of St Michael’s.
* The country market is held at St Thomas’s parish hall, Garstang, every Thursday from 10am onwards.
