Garstang Country Market Re-opens

This market will be opening its doors again for the summer on Thursday March 7th and will be held in the usual venue: St Thomas’s Church Hall on Church Street.

Every Thursday, from 10am – 12 noon, the Country Market (formerly known as the WI market) will be offering a wide range of fresh homemade produce. Adult & children’s clothing, and hand crafted products such as cards, pictures etc will be on sale alongside jams, cakes, flowers and plants.

You have to get there early to buy the delicious cakes, as they soon “sell out”!

Local people such as Ben Andrews sell their produce too ,and Ben says “We are very well aware that, small as it is, the market proves a steady extra attraction to the town, with some regulars coming quite a long way to sample its wares.”
