Garstang in Bloom, Business Contest
Three generations of the Topping family from Barton Grange recently judged the town’s business floral display competition.
Businesses, as always, made it a very tough decision as their floral tubs, window boxes and hanging baskets are absolutely magnificent. Many have embraced this year’s “Edible Britain” theme. and you will now find blackcurrants and tomatoes growing on the High Street!
Norah Hoyles thanked the town for maintaining these displays, and helping to make Garstang look so good for the RHS judges too. The Northwest judges were here at the end of July, and the National judges came around the town on Friday 2nd August.
Results for the Northwest & Nationals will be announced in October.
However, the overall results of the local businesses competition are as follows, and the Chamber of Trade recently hosted an evening to present the trophies.
