Calvos (stunning white stilt walkers) a real favourite at the festival will be here for both evenings.
On Monday The Red Rose Jazz Band, then Tuesday the fantastic Batala Drum Band will lead the procession, then play on throughout the evening.
They will be joined by some old favourites: – Brass Bands, Morris Men, Punch and Judy , Dance groups and Choirs.
New for this year are the Juggling Jesters, David Alexandar, Spots and Stripes and an “Old Time Fairground”.
All this takes place around all areas of the town, but especially on the High Street. which will be lined with a huge variety of stalls.
Shops will be open to provide a warm welcome and a huge array of gifts for Christmas. There is always something for everyone in this town of independent traders.
Cafes, restaurants and pubs will also be open as usual for some much needed refreshments
This Award winning Festival is well worth a visit, it captures a real Christmas atmosphere – see many local people and dignitaries dressed in Victorian attire.
So why not join us on one or both evenings? …and enjoy a little bit of Christmas… and it is all for free!
