Start the Queen’s Jubilee with a Walk
Jubilee Walks in Garstang
Friday 1st June 2012
To start the celebrations in our Town this is an opportunity to see how the residents of Garstang have entered into the spirit of our Queen’s Diamond Jubilee by decorating their gardens.
These walks will be suitable for all on foot, in push chairs or wheel chairs and will be led by volunteer countryside rangers.
FRIDAY 1ST JUNE AT 4.30 p.m. Meet outside the Garstang Visitor Centre, Cherestanc Square, Garstang.
High Street – Church Street (past St. Thomas’s Church, Abbeyfield,
St. Thomas’s School) – Grizedale Avenue (past Stransdale Centre)
Hazelhurst Drive – Moss Lane – Windsor Road – Derby Road –
Dorchester Road (past home of current Mayor of Garstang) –
Worcester Avenue – Sussex Drive – Windsor Road –
back to Garstang Visitor Centre.
Approx time of the walk: 1 hour – 1.5 hours

(past Westwards Home) – Hawthorne Avenue – Sycamore Avenue – Croston Road – Oak Road (past Community Centre, Community
School & Swimming Pool) – Maple Road Lancaster Road (past home of previous Mayor of Garstang) – Green Lane East – Manor Road – Wyre Lane – Willow Drive – Rivermead Drive – Lancaster Road(past Sandbriggs Court) – Fell View – Station Way – Devonshire Road -Dorchester Road – Windsor Road – back to Garstang Visitor Centre.
