Time to think about Christmas? What’s on – Art Centre – November

Buy your Christmas presents at the Arts Centre’s famous Christmas Fair which runs during normal opening hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays until 1st December. Choose from work by members of the Arts Society and a fine selection of woodwork, silverware, glassware, cards, knitware, pottery and much more.

The Floral Art Group’s next meeting is on Tuesday 15th November at 2 pm when the speaker will be Claire from Morgans Flowers on Garstang High Street. Claire will demonstrate how to gift wrap flowers, plants and wine for Christmas and other important occasions. Visitors are always welcome so come along and bring your own gifts to wrap under Claire’s guidance. Light refreshments will be available.

Kirkland Village Hall will host an Evening with the John Towers Big Band on Friday 18th November at 7.30 pm in aid of Arts Centre funds. Bring your own drinks. Tickets cost £7.50, including a cold buffet table. They are available from the Arts Centre or by phoning 01995 605210.

The Poetry Appreciation Group meet on the fourth Friday of the month from 2 pm to 4 pm and are a very friendly group. The next meeting is on 25th of November when David Greenwood will lead readings and poems on the Second World War. If you are interested, you will be made very welcome if you just come along.
