Saturday February 18th The first Craft and Collectors Fair of 2012 runs from 10am until 2pm. It’s our usual mix of beautiful handmade objects, small antiques and books, jewellery and pictures as well as lovely cakes and hot lunches. Come to relax and browse for a while. Tuesday February 21st at 2 pm.The Floral Art Group continue their programme with an interesting demonstration by Brenda Newhouse, who is a member of the group. Brenda has been asked to show some table arrangements for a wedding reception, one using a candelabra. These will be followed by an arrangement with an Easter theme, which will form the basis for March’s workshop. This friendly group is always pleased to welcome visitors and new members. Friday February 24th Poetry Appreciation between 2pm – 4pm. This month’s topic is William Blake – the poet and his poetry. The session is led by David Greenwood who will read from and discuss the poetry of William Blake. The Group is very friendly; members join in the discussions or read the poetry or they can just sit and listen if they prefer. Come and join us, everyone is welcomed.
