Some of our 15 Activity groups at the Arts Centre in the Old Grammar School in the centre of Garstang take a break over the summer. September sees their return to their regular meeting times and a fresh opportunity for you to take advantage of the many and varied activities available. You will be made most welcome:
Calligraphy Wednesdays 10 am – 12 & 1 pm – 3.30
Camera Club First 3 Wednesdays per month at 7.30 pm
Card Design 4th Monday in the month 10 am – 12
Floral Art 3rd Tuesday in the month 2 pm
Folk Dancers Tuesday at 7.30 pm
Garstang Musical Productions Thursday at 7.30 pm
John Towers Big Band Friday at 7.30 pm
Painting Group Wednesday 1 pm – 4
Patchwork and Needlework Wednesday 10 am – 12
Poetry Appreciation 4th Friday in the month 2 pm – 4
Recorded Music Society 1st Monday in the month 7.30 pm
Scrabble 4th Monday in the month 7.30 pm
Songbirds Monday 1.30 pm – 3.30
Terry O’Toole Painting class Monday 10 am-12 & 1.00 pm – 3
Wine Circle 3rd Monday in the month 7.30 pm

Saturday September 3rd Our annual fund raising Bric a Brac stall will be outside the Market Hall from 9am until early afternoon . Look out for some fantastic bargains in books , household goods , jigsaws , children’s toys , jewellery , CDs DVDs etc . Tuesday 20th September The next meeting of the Floral Art Group will be held at 7-30pm in the Schoolroom at the Arts Centre. This is the first time we have held the meeting in the evening and the speakers will be Sam and Vicky from Simply Flowers based at Scotforth, who will be giving a demonstration of their floral arrangements. Friday September 23rd Poetry Appreciation from 2pm – 4pm this month is entitled “Home thoughts ” led by Harry Batty. From Home Sweet Home to Rupert Brook and all points between . Come and enjoy – join in or just sit and listen .
